The Sports Person  Presently she occupies the post of the Principal, Laxman Public School and the chairperson, National Progressive Schools Conference.
She was the founder Principal, Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls, Shantiniketan, New Delhi. Was Vice Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan's Mehta Vidyalaya, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi - 1986. Mrs. Ram has a long history of association with the Central Board of Secondary Education. She is acquainted with the rules and regulations for recognition of school from the Directorate of Education. She has the ability to make a school technically equipped for affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education (or any other). Under her able leadership, the school has gone from strength to strength and focussed on the holistic development of students. She has the expertise to appoint teachers for all subjects with the help of experts from renowned institutions like NCERT, SIET, NIEPA, CBSE and National Open School. She is a subject expert capable of appointing teachers for High, Middle, Primary and Pre-Primary Classes. She is a member of expert committees of various private, public schools to appoint principals, vice principals and teachers. Mrs. Usha Ram takes a keen interest in sports and games. She has established sports academics like Cricket, Soccer and Tennis at professional level in school. Mrs. Usha Ram is the Honorary President of the Taekwondo Federation of Delhi with her initiative this self defense Korean martial art is being taught as a regular activity in more than 20 schools in Delhi.
