Welcome Note
I take immense pride in welcoming you to the 4th LPSMUN Conference. LPSMUN Conference will be held on 10th and 11th November 2009. Students from class 8th to 12th are invited to participate. This year we shall be simulating three committees: General Assembly-2 (ECOFIN), Human Rights Council and International Atomic Energy Agency.
In present times, young people of the world have the responsibilty to transform the future into a place where peace and harmony prevails. Each delegate participating in the conference is ordained to make a difference and change the world for the better.
LPSMUN provides you, young children, with a platform to bring in fresh energy and innovative ideas to longstanding developmental concerns. You, as ambassadors of member nations will discuss, debate and draft resolutions on issues concerning the current economic scenario, nuclear energy and human rights.
This conference will give you an opportunity to exhibit in-depth understanding and knowledge of global issues, oratorical skills, diplomatic behaviour and negotiation skills. It will also enable you to understand your roles as global citizens and your obligations towards the society.
