Anger Management Session is being conducted at laxman public school for the students of classes 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. During the inaugural session, the principal Mrs. Usha Ram –who is herself an ardent follower of yogic kriyas , emphasized on the need to make these simple yogic techniques a part of one’s lifestyle at an early age so that growing up adolescents are able to keep anger and stress at bay and deal with the challenges of life in a better way.
The entire segment is broken down into four segments. The first segment aims at exploring how growing up in the present day world is quite challenging due to over exposure of adolescents and due to other kinds of pressures of modern day living (e.g.-fast pace of life, nuclear families, high expectation level etc.). during the second segment, the adolescent open up and talk about their emotional turmoils at the personal as well as peer-group level . During the third segment the facilitator of the session, Mrs. Alka priyadarshini, addresses the situations that the adolescents talked about during the second segment and discusses how various principles of Raj yoga can be used to provide a solution to our emotional problems and how they can go a long way in the management of mind and emotions. During the last segment, the students are taught very basic meditational techniques and breathing practices that help in developing a sense of self-control and equanimity.
