Independence Day Celebrations
On the occasion of 64th Independence Day celebrations at Laxman Public
School, the School Principal Mrs Usha Ram, along with the Chairperson Mrs
Shyama Laxman Agarwal and the Vice Chairpersons, Mrs Ratika Agarwal and Mrs
Pallavi Laxman, welcomed the Chief Guest Shri C L Ruala, MP. The highlight
of the programme was a cultural programme prepared and presented by students
from Pre-primary to Senior school. The special education department
presented a colourful dance to the song ‘I love my India’. The English song
sung by the school choir ‘Live in Freedom’ was also greatly appreciated by
the guests. The school orchestra presented a few popular songs. While the
students of classes VII & VIII presented a fusion of dances form taken from
the states of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Punjab and Rajasthan, signifying the
theme of Unity in Diversity.
Mrs Usha Ram felicitated Christopher Price, our guest student from UK who
stayed on LPS campus for 15 days under the Prime Minister’s Global
Fellowship Programme 2010.
The programme was followed by a prize distribution ceremony for academic
excellence of students of all classes.
On this occasion three brochures made and designed, photographed and written
by the students of the ‘Bright Brigade’ (of classes V & VI) were released.
The brochures conveyed messages of global concern like stop food wastage,
keep the earth green by following the ideals of reuse, recycle, reduce and
rethink.
The chief guest and the chairperson congratulated and blessed all the
children.
