Evaluation System
| * Students are required to appear for all the tests scheduled during the year. |
| * In case of absence due to illness, a doctor's certificate will be required.
In such cases, the pupil's promotion will be based on the aggregate of the other
tests. |
| Absence from tests for any other reason, therefore, will not be permitted.
The student's promotion is mainly based on the scheduled based on the scheduled
tests and terminal examinations. |
| Retests are not conducted for absentees. |
| The student's annual attendance will also be considered for promotion,
especially when absent from tests. |
| Students are required to obtain a minimum Grade in each subject. |
| Students found using unfair means during the unit tests & term exams will be
marked zero in that subject. These students will not be eligible for any academic
awards or school appointments. |
Evaluation for Classes : I - IV
| No terminal examination would be held in these classes. Weekly worksheets for all
subjects according to the schedule given to students. |
| The student's progress in oral and written classwork and projects will be
assessed and recorded under the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme. |
| A grading system is used for all academic subjects in Classes I & IV |
Evaluation for Classes : V & VI
| There will be four unit tests and two terminal examinations for students of
Classes V& VI. The annual weightage is : Unit Test 25%, First Term 35% and Second Term 40% |
| The Student's progress in oral and written classwork/homework/projects will be
assessed and recorded under the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme. |
Evaluation for Classes : VII - IX & XI
| There will be two semesters in a year. |
| In one academic year students will appear for four unit test and two terminal
examinations. The annual weightage is Unit
Test 20%, First Term 40% and Second Term 40%. |
| Grades will be given for NLM & activities, Classwork/ homework/ project work
throughout the year. |
| Grading System will be followed for classes VII,VIII and IX from the year
2005-2006 based on a Nine Point Scale. A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2,D1,D2,E. |
